1802 Bar Lounge & Dining Description

1802 can be found in Canary Wharf on West India Quay's waterside, a brooding but iconic bar, lounge and restaurant that belongs to the Museum of London Docklands. Visitors are struck by the bare brickwork, original pine beams and wooden pillars which ensures the rustic elements stand out proudly; this erstwhile Grade I warehouse seems to have made the transition into a stylish dining venue with ease. The bar is perfect if you want to sit back and relax with a cocktail or a glass of wine but for more serious pursuits, head straight towards the 1802 restaurant.

Menus feature traditional British food with a modern twist and there might be starters of smoked mackerel with spring onions, horseradish and gooseberries followed by venison sausages, roasted squash, shallots and red wine. To finish, there's a blackberry fool with shortbread and a platter of British cheeses with chutney. Children can enjoy smaller portions and the fast track lunch menu provides fantastic value. 1802 offers fine wines, exciting cocktails, champagnes and spirits to suit your mood and occasion.
