78 St Vincent Description

Designed in 1914, by architects, Campbell & Hislop, 78 St. Vincent Street was the office for the Phoenix Assurance Company, affectionately referred to, in Glasgow, as the "Phoenix Building".

They have carefully restored the building and interior, retaining many of the original features, including the lovely white marble staircase leading to the mezzanine and first floors. They have also used local artists to create a turn of the Century French feel with a contemporary edge, which they feel works well with the architecture.

In the recent past they have developed one of the first floor offices as a private room available for dining, meeting or conferencing. This is ideal for parties of up to 14 guests.

Complementing the restaurant's French style, their menu, prepared by Duncan Mckay and his team of talented chefs, offers imaginative dishes cooked from best quality fresh produce with flair and pride. French with a Scottish flavour!

Recently we went for dinner for my mother’s 60th Birthday. We had a spectacular meal and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a spectacular night and will be visiting again very shortly.
