Aagrah - Pudsey Description
Aagrah started out on its long journey in 1977, in Shipley. Astute business management coupled with a desire to give customers what they want has ensured that the Aagrah chain has grown steadily and in 2004 their tenth branch was opened in central Leeds. Over the years a handsome clutch of awards has come their way and the restaurants have also raised some £250,000 for charity. The cuisine springs essentially from Kashmir and the new menu includes dishes seldom heard of in this country, but if you have a favourite dish that is not on the menu let them know in advance and it will be cooked for you.
Some to watch out for are the jhinga hyderabadi, a rich king prawn dish, full of flavours, the murgh ginger makhni chicken and the Goan prawn curry.
Their success lies partially in the freshness of the herbs and the meticulous attention to detail with ingredients. Service, as so often with Indian restaurants, is friendly and welcoming. The wine list is no lightweight either, as another blow is struck to the notion that the only liquid to be drunk with Indian food is the yellow peril.

Your Reviews of Aagrah - Pudsey
Izabel (7 October 2007)
I used to eat there almost every Sunday with my family, and not once have I experienced anything that would put me off. The staff are always polite and will always try to do their best with any special requirements that are needed for you or your family. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone.
Emma Brearton (8 October 2003)
I didn't get chance to sample the food as when I had booked a table for 4 for my 23rd birthday they hadn't even reserved the booking. There were no apologies, though I had friends over from Castleford. My night was ruined. Don't expect any special treatment if you dare risk ruining your night at this restaurant.
