Aagrah - Pudsey Description
It's always nice to find a restaurant which exceeds your expectations and with Aagrah, you will find a whole group of them spread across Yorkshire. At every location, their ideology remains the same, delicious Indian food served in remarkably comfortable and casually sophisticated surroundings. The story of Aagrah began in 1977 and continues to surprise people with their range of Kashmiri cuisine prepared with fresh produce and ingredients.
Expect to begin with starters such as prawn paratha, cooked with garlic, ginger and spices wrapped in flaky paratha and move on to murgh waziri, breast of chicken marinated with spices, grilled and cooked with a tarka sauce or a nihari, a typical dish from Lahore. The flavour of Hyderabad is evident alongside popular favourites of achari and rogan josh. There's also a selection of English dishes with grilled lamb chops or breaded scampi and the eclectic drinks list includes spirits, fine wines and champagnes.

Your Reviews of Aagrah - Pudsey
Sam Smith (19 April 2009)
Well, what can I say? I booked a table for 8.30 on a Saturday evening. When I arrived they didn't have me on the list and we had to wait twenty minutes for our table. Upon being seated we ordered our food and were being asked every five minutes, once it arrived, whether our food was okay. I have to say the food was average and all I can say about my visit to Aagrah was that it was okay. Nothing spectacular, and in my opinion a bad choice to move the restaurant into what can only be described as a goldfish bowl. This was my first and last visit to Aagrah, Pudsey.

I had a four day working stay in a nearby bakery. My hotel food on the first night was dreadful and I asked my host for details of a good eating place for the next three evening and Aagrah was his first choice. I went there at 1830 hrs, even at this time it was busy, but they managed a table and after a short while my starter arrived. The main meal was exceptional in quality, flavour and quantity. The service was first class with attentive staff and the Kingfisher beer was excellent. I returned the next three evenings for more of the same. I have worked all over the world and eaten at hundreds of places. Aagrah is among the very best for the price. I will try out other Aagrah restaurants at first opportunity.
