Your Reviews of Afrikana
Beverley (7 August 2007)
I went to Afrikana in November 2006. We stumbled upon it as we were looking somewhere to have lunch in Walsall. It was very nice inside and I found the staff very good. The food was excellent. I live in North Wales and I would definitely make a journey down to Walsall, just to go back there - I loved it.

I visited Afrikana last week and had a very uncomfortable time. The place was quiet but before we had finished our starters the mains arrived it was like we were being rushed through but there were only three other tables. Then half way through eating our mains a tall African guy (who I assume was the owner or manager) came over and started talking to us trying to get into a full conversation about salsa or something, he didn't get the hint that we want to eat not talk, we left after that and had a beautiful crème brûlée and ice cream at a friendly bar down the street. I think he was trying to get us to come again but he drove us away.
