The success of After Office Hours is based on a combination of an informal and moderately priced menu of tapas and continental food, a wide selection of good drinkable wines from around the world, quality jazz, swing and easy listening music up to four times a week all in a comfortable and safe environment.

The tapas are priced mainly around the £3.50 to £4 mark, and include most of the classic favourites, from squid rings to anchovies in vinegar, grilled sardines to marinated mussels, or if that is all too fishy for you, then the famous Spanish albondigas, meatballs in spicy salsa sauce, or baked peppers, tomatoes and onions might just catch your fancy instead.

Clearly, if you should dine merely on tapas and a beer, it would cost you a lot less than the figure that we have quoted, however, a full meal might include dishes such as breast of chicken in tarragon sauce with fresh vegetables, different styles of paella, grilled fillet of salmon or sea bass in a seaweed sauce.
