Al Duca was opened by leading restaurateur Claudio Pulze in 1999. The menu at Al Duca emphasises the use of simple fresh ingredients skilfully combined to bring out the best of a wide range of traditional dishes offered both in classic style and with a new twist, all following Pulze's ethos to offer reasonably priced good Italian food.

House favourites include warm poached egg with crusty parmesan, bacon, potatoes, spinach and fresh tomato sauce; mafaldini with bufalo mozzarella, saffron and pancetta and vanilla pannacotta with blackcurrant and apple.

The modern simple surroundings at Al Duca combines a palette of traditional Italian colourways of terracotta, olive and stone, mosaic tiling and oak timber to create an informal, light setting.
