Al Hamra Restaurant Description
This well known old Mayfair haunt positively hums with the sound of joyful customers as somehow the slightly over crowded seating area seems to create a very positive and happy feel; you can sit inside with other people almost in your lap or relax on the pavement seating outside, heated fortunately in winter.
Famed as one of the top Lebanese restaurants in London, it specialises in all the renowned Middle Eastern dishes, with the traditional hot or cold meze, and highlights like their excellent tabbouleh or labneh.

My husband and I have been to Al Hamra several times in the past, but will not be returning in the near future. The food is still good and amongst the best of the Lebanese restaurants we have been to in London. However, the same cannot be said of the service which, in our opinion, is not only slow, we waited one hour to get a bottle of water that was requested, but also rude. Once may be forgivable, twice tells us to take our custom elsewhere.

As good as it gets - their food is wonderful. It's fresh, healthy and delicious. Great service too. I go there every time I visit London. I have tried other Middle East restaurants and this one is the best.
