Al Vicolo is a family owned and run all-day cafe restaurant in the heart of Guildford offering some of the best of Italian and Sardinian dishes in an atmosphere that is simple and relaxed, sophisticated but without pretension. Breakfast is available from eight o'clock until twelve. They also allow you to host private parties, including business dinners and wedding receptions, and do not even apply any room charge. For me, the best restaurant in Guildford! This is based on the consistent high quality of food and service. I've dined here on numerous occasions and have never had anything other than a great meal. The chef is a fantastic cook and a lovely person. Highly recommended, so too is the truffle ravioli if it is on the specials!

Eating at Al Vicolo is pleasurable for all the right reasons. Food that is cooked to perfection, served delightfully and eaten in an atmosphere that is completely unpretentious. We will eat here again and again. Bravo to the chef and staff.
