Alasia Restaurant, The

The Alasia, a family run restaurant tucked away in Weston's theatre district of Grove Village is a perfect stopover for pre-theatre dining. The décor is unfussy and tasteful - wenge floors, spotless white tables, local artwork and soft pastel shades alternating with crimson hues - all highlighted with soothing ceiling lights.

Walk in for a relaxed brunch of Gloucester Old Spot sausages, sandwiches or perfectly poached eggs on toast.  If you have time to spare, settle on the couch with coffee in one hand and a newspaper in the other, or alternatively commune with your laptop as The Alasia provides WiFi to customers.

For lunch, a well crafted menu with specials on the board, include vegetable risotto, homemade fishcakes and beef and stilton gourmet burger. An exotic evening à la carte features dishes such as venison steak seasoned with juniper and fennel, rump with cracked black pepper ice cream, or seasonal vegetable casserole with English mustard dumplings. You might want to end your meal with home made cheesecake or an Italian coffee dessert.
