Almshouses Description

Located in the heart of Durham on Palace Green, and conveniently near to the Music and Theology faculties, Almshouses attracts large numbers of students. One wonders how many vegetarian vicars and musical meat-haters the place has to its credit?

That piece of speculation aside Almshouses goes the extra mile to accommodate the un-believers, and some very tasty dishes emerge as a result. Those in search of a quick cuppa and perhaps a bun or two will not go away disappointed, and rumour even has it that they are responsive to that frequently spurned request to owners of cafes and lite-bites for a slice or two of toast. How else are you expected to eat your boiled egg?

There is seldom a quiet moment at this buzzy place, effectively an outpost of the Uni and as a place for people watching it could hardly be bettered.
