Amba Restaurant & Lounge Description
If you're looking for a restaurant that serves good food in a stylish environment and lets it customers relax, enjoy themselves, and be who they are, visit Amba Restaurant and Lounge in Ashley Road, Hale. The rebuilt and restyled venue was launched in June 2002 on the site of the Old Hale Wine Bar.
Done up in magenta, sand and amber, with leather and steel added in good measure, the interior is made warm by classical furniture and ever changing lighting. A large open frontage and attractive lounge bar add to the overall appeal.
The regularly changing menus provide a varied selection of contemporary European dishes for lunch and dinner. Popular starters include sweet and sour prawns in filo pastry, cheese soufflés, bruschetta with chicken liver, and goats' cheese and spinach. Mains of Mexican chicken, tempura cod, and Cumbrian lamb rump are worth more than a passing glance.
The Amba banana tarte tatin helps you finish in style. An impressive selection of wine, spirits, champagne and beer is always available.

The food is excellent, but the place lacks atmosphere. However the service was o.k. I’ll come back for the food.

It’s a fantastic restaurant with a great relaxed atmosphere. The quality of food is always excellent. It’s my favourite restaurant without a doubt!
