It serves absolutely delicious food and good value. Genuine, helpful, friendly staff and the food here is as good as or better than any Indian cuisine I've eaten! Can't recommend them highly enough - try the lime and coconut trout dish which is rich and delicious - although they said nobody ever picks it!

My partner and I ate at the Amid Palace last night. I have been many times before and always had an excellent experience but we hadn’t been for a while. There was a fantastic surprise to find, three courses for just £7.95 - any starter, any main with pilau rice or plain naan and ice cream or coffee. Only exceptions were fish, prawns and lamb chops quoted as £1.50 extra on the menu. The food as always was excellent with superb service. The only thing to watch out for is that it is advertised as opening at 17:30, we arrived 17:30 and they are now opening at 18:00 but haven’t changed the advertising as yet. Nevertheless, we were very happy and will be making this a regular restaurant visit.
