In a serious bid to charm guests with gourmet Italian cooking, the kitchen seeks to keep things simple and elegant, and the menu is rife with recognizable favorites such as sautéed fresh calamari in garlic, spicy cherry peppers and white wine, and manicotti stuffed with ricotta cheese, in tomato sauce with melted mozzarella. For the main event there is New York strip grilled to your liking, pork chops with porcini mushrooms, and pan seared chicken with lemon, wine, roasted garlic, and spinach. The browned and bubbling baked ziti and chicken cacciatore never fail to evoke nostalgia, and massive desserts such as Italian ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu, which can serve up to twelve people, does the same.
