There are numerous ways in which you can describe Anam; stylish, funky and oh-so-cool might be a few of them, but of course only a visit there can actually demonstrate what this Islington bar is all about. Reverberating with DJ mixed music and premium spirit spiked cocktails flowing freely around, the bohemian atmosphere prevalent there is a dream come true for anyone who has felt the urge to shrug off the mundaneness in their life. After all, Anam does mean 'life and soul' in Gaelic.

Lavishly decorated across two floors with eclectic artwork on the walls and warm colour tones, this is the kind of place you want to step inside and never want to leave. The recently introduced kitchen menu shows a few Mediterranean influences and offers a choice of delicious burgers, with cheese and bacon or char grilled chicken breast with salad while other mains could include lamb kofta and tzatiki with pita bread. Anam retains an extensive list of fine wines along with spirits, beers and lagers.
