Anchor Inn Description

The Anchor is idyllically situated on the picturesque banks of the River Stour, overlooking the pub's kitchen garden and fields where their own animals graze. With room for fifty people dining downstairs in the pub, plus upstairs in the restaurant, seating a further fifty customers, or outside either on the terrace or on the benches along the river, both accommodating another thirty, the Anchor has a place for everyone.

At the Anchor Inn they believe in the excellence of their ingredients. The Heritage Farm, smokehouse and kitchen garden shape the menus, featuring home reared lamb, beef, pork, goat and often eggs from free range Welsummer chickens, as well as fish and game from their estate, along with vegetables and herbs.

Excellent spot and delicious food. The house smoked platter is wonderful and reflects the ethos of the place - they make everything from scratch. I would highly recommend it!

A lovely spot, we had been there last weekend and enjoyed a delicious, well cooked meal served by attentive and friendly staff. I’m definitely going back.
