This small but friendly little taverna on Bayham Street is a lively enough place at lunchtime but it is in the evening that it really comes into its own. Andy's relatively small size makes for an intimate setting and during summer a meal at the patio garden may well turn out to be a happy and lingering memory.

On the menu you'll find all the classic Greek breads, dips and tender marinated meats including sheftalia, a delicacy of minced lamb and pork with onions, parsley and breadcrumbs, and Mediterranean prawns in garlic butter and wine. Lamb stifado, tender pork afelia marinated in wine and coriander, and the most popular dish at Andy's, kleftico served on the bone, all evoke strains of nostalgia. Vegetarians will surely be happy with the spanacopitta, spinach and cheese wrapped in a filo pastry, or the moussaka layered with aubergine and vegetables with mixed herbs in béchamel sauce.

Traditional music nights make Andy's Taverna truly a celebration for all things Greek.
