Annie's Tea Rooms, Garden & Gallery
The Old Dairy Barn, Upper Godney, Wells, BA5 1RY
Tucked away in an attractive part of Somerset, in Upper Godney, is Annie's Tea Rooms, Garden and Gallery. This quaint and delightful little place, looking out over the river Sheppey is indeed manna for the senses, a restorative for the spirit and a cure for the soul. Homemade food tops the menu and you might wish to indulge in a hearty lunch of fresh penne pasta with a choice of smoked salmon, pesto and pine nuts or Riverbarn salmon fishcakes. The traditional cream tea with scones, clotted cream or jam is a big highlight while desserts such as orange and almond cake, banana, fig and almond tea bread or warm chocolate fudge cake with clotted cream are hot favourites among the regulars who flock here at the drop of a jam butty.Tucked away in an attractive part of Somerset, in Upper Godney, is Annie's Tea Rooms, Garden and Gallery. Annie's supports local artists and exhibit their works in regularly held events. But what really draws people there is the great food, the serene riverside ambience, the blushing tulips in the gardens and the friendly and helpful staff.

REVIEWS OF Annie's Tea Rooms, Garden & Gallery
Fuzzy (13 November 2008)
I still remember my first time at Annie's; a glorious sunny day, sitting in the garden overlooking the levels and the Tor in the distance. We had an amazing salmon and pasta dish followed by the most exquisite banoffee pie I have ever tasted. Needless to say, I have been back a few times. My family have various dietary requirements between them, and all can eat and drink heartily at Annie’s.
Michou Godfrey (13 November 2008)
I have been going to Annie's Tea Garden since it started, and can thoroughly recommend the experience. It has great food and service with a smile, and a beautiful location by the river, with a lovely atmosphere. We miss it, us locals when it shuts down for the winter. May I also commend the fact that there are bicycle racks aplenty for those of us coming by bike over the levels. The lunch and tea are equally delightful.
