Situated on West Main Street in the historic Murff Row, Anthony's has come a long way since it early days as humble market in 1936. It's now pretty much exactly what West Point residents and even students of the nearby Mississippi State University need in the way of a relaxed place to taste some delicious southern food.

The kitchen certainly knows its way around New Orleans - delta style cooking and the famed Mississippi catfish and coastal seafood feature every night. So expect to find crispy fried Louisiana crab claws with remoulade sauce, and hand battered crispy bite size mushrooms served with Parmesan ranch among starters. A particularly tasty version of beef tips arrive with artichokes, red onions, mushrooms, and scallions tossed in a bleu cheese cream sauce over fettuccine, while the 14 oz rib eye, hand cut and seasoned to perfection, is equally satisfying.

Live music on Wednesday nights and other local entertainers keep the mood upbeat at Anthony's.
