Luxury is redefined at Apsleys , the Italian restaurant at Lanesborough, and the transformation of the traditional conservatory into the magnificent restaurant, complete with shimmering chandeliers and pristine tablecloths, is breathtaking. Head chef Nick Bell produces classical Italian fare using the finest seasonal produce, most of which is imported directly from Italy.   Well defined lunch and dinner menus offer a range of antipasti, tender veal loin with tuna sauce and capers being one of them. The zuppe section has clam soup with tomato and fregola, and you could also try the pigeon ravioli with pancetta, Barolo and thyme for mains. The international wine list, predominantly Italian and French, is expansive and the well informed and polite staff help you choose.
