Arch One Bar and Grill
1 Mepham Street, Waterloo, London, SE1 8RL
It's quite something when a bar has a 24 hours licence seven days a week but at the Arch One Bar and Grill, it means that you can drop in there for a frothy cappuccino in the morning, some tea in the afternoon, and a chilled beer or cocktail, come evening. Of course, you must take into account the tasty food that this Southbank landmark is becoming renowned for and their location just outside the Waterloo mainline station exit is very convenient indeed for passing travellers who find food on the trains less than acceptable. The atmosphere is eclectic with its chic décor and there's a great sense of comfort that's perfect for you to saunter in for an after work drink or meet up there with friends for a great evening. It's quite something when a bar has a 24 hours licence seven days a week but at the Arch One Bar and Grill, it means that you can drop in there for a frothy cappuccino in the morning, some tea in the afternoon, and a chilled beer or cocktail, come evening. Typical starters from their grill menu could bring cod croquettes with sour tomato salsa followed by lamb cutlets served with watercress, tomato, mushroom and potato wedges. For dessert, there's a mixed berry crumble with crème fraîche and the drinks list includes champagnes as well as an excellent selection of fine wines.
