Archie's Restaurant

Archie's restaurant is situated in Sandiacre, a mere five minutes from M1 Junction 25. The building is a 200 year old barn conversion, which has been thoughtfully fitted out to exceptionally high standards, and has a unique relaxed welcoming atmosphere with lots of character.

Food is locally sourced and is served in a friendly manner. Dishes tend to be fairly traditional in style, but with some innovative touches, such as stuffed saddle of British lamb on a bed of tarragon leeks, finished with a lamb gravy or herb crusted local farmed fillet of beef with roast chestnut, mushrooms and malt whiskey sauce.

Puddings are real stars, it would take someone with a stronger will than mine to resist a choice that might consist of Granny Smith crème brûlée with a champagne sorbet; peach and ginger crumble topped with a vanilla ice cream; a warm rich chocolate fondant served with a white vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce or Archie's banana bread and butter pudding finished with a light custard sauce.

On the first Tuesday of every month they hold a seven course gourmet jazz evening, which offers excellent value.
