Armagnac Restaurant Description
The Montpellier area of Cheltenham is known for its bars, cafés, restaurants and shops, and among these, nestles a welcoming French restaurant called Armagnac. Its growing popularity during the past year is ample proof of the fact that customers like its ambiance and French food and wine.
The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, and thanks to the simple and modern decor, customers might forget they're dining in a lovely listed building.
Owner Olivier Azam grew up on a farm close to the Pyrenees in France and this gave him the much needed knowledge on food and produce. Today along with chef Barry Williams, Olivier excels in creating tasty food, all with an exciting French flair. The menus change with the seasons and focus on a range of starters that could include salads and foie gras, main course meat and vegetarian dishes as well as desserts and a selection of cheese.

I came to eat here with my partner on Saturday, and had one of the best meals I have had in a long, long time. The atmosphere was fantastic, I felt I was at a dinner party and the host was the waiter. It was really close knit and warm - and the food - fantastic! The whole experience was great and the bill didn’t leave a bad taste either - one word of advice, leave room for dessert, as it was the cherry and cream on a very tasty cake.
