Arturo likes to call itself a stylish Italian restaurant with a bright conservatory and an ambient bar, with clean lines, beige walls and dark wood furniture adding to the subtle elegance.

The cooking remains loyal to the seasons and although the menu is concise it keeps up with the spirit of the place. The best test of whether Arturo is really for you lies in how good their antipasti is, and ricotta and spinach tartlet served with sun-dried tomato pesto and creamy peas, mint and basil soup with pancetta should never fail to impress. Amongst main courses expect to find baked herb crusted rack of lamb served with roasted mixed vegetables and lamb sauce, and grilled fillet of beef accompanied by rocket, Lyonnaise potatoes and a balsamic reduction.

A dessert of vanilla pannacotta with strawberry coulis and pistachio and white chocolate semifreddo make a fitting end to a meal.
