Arturo Description
A modern but cosy Italian restaurant with a fine dining menu at non-fine dining prices, with a good selection of regional Italian wine.
Lunch represents especially good value with a two course menu at £12.95, and a third course for a mere three pounds more; choices on it could include cannellini bean soup flavoured with lemon and parsley or deep-fried poached egg on a salad of bitter leaves, grilled mushroom and pancetta to begin with, followed by fillet of salmon on roasted new potatoes with a tomato, olive and caper dressing or supreme of chicken on spinach with a vegetable timbale, finishing with lemon tart or pannacotta.
The main menu is even more tempting, and, while a full dinner with wine could cost up to £40 per head, a simple, lighter meal of one of their excellent pasta or pizza dishes with a glass of wine would be well under half that.
