Ashleys Restaurant

11 The Tything, Worcester, WR1 1HD

The presence of almost a dozen Indian restaurants in a mile's stretch is enough proof of the cuisine's popularity in Worcester. Ashleys is a small yet impeccably spotless and modish place in The Tything, a street considered to be a paradise for those in search of refreshment in the city. Its décor painted with hues of black and white lends a modern feel whilst successfully retaining the character of the 16th century listed building. The menu is designed with a host of traditional and contemporary dishes and you could begin with sharing a platter of four different starters or seek the salmon la jawab, salmon marinated in yoghurt and spices. The 'green lamb' curry, possibly one of Ashleys most talked about Indian dishes, is definitely worth a try.

If you are amongst those who like to wrap up a meal with a sweet, an array of attractive desserts is on hand.

REVIEWS OF Ashleys Restaurant

Hayley (31 January 2011)

We had a superb meal at Ashleys! I have two little children and the waiters were fantastic with them. They even offered us a complimentary ice cream toy to keep them happy which I thought was very kind and thoughtful. The whole experience was great, food was exceptional and nicely presented, service and surroundings were friendly and cosy. I am not a regular reviewer, however I felt compelled to write one on this occasion so others could have a great experience as I did. Ashleys is quite a popular little restaurant so perhaps consider booking when you go. Bottle of wine and two course meal came to just over £50 for the four of us which I thought was very good value. I highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

It's a Tuesday night and not a night that you would consider busy when it comes to booking a meal or just wandering in to an Asian restaurant, but Ashleys Restaurant were so busy we needed to wait for a table! On looking out of their window we could see three other Asian restaurants that had no customers at all! We waited, and jeez it was worth it. The food was exquisite, the bar and ambience was excellent. The service from truly nice people was exceptional. Try it, you will not regret it.
