Ashoka - Johnstone

3 Rankine Street, Johnstone, PA5 8AY

The Ashoka Johnstone in Rankine Street continues to curry favour with its clientele across Renfrewshire. A spacious dining hall with a lofty ceiling and twinkling chandeliers along with dramatic bursts of ruby red and fine contemporary furnishings sets the stage for an evening of Indian fine dining. Contemporary Indian cuisine marries a rich culinary tradition with modern sensibilities to deliver light and healthy dishes, an outlook which is reflected in the chef's selection at the Ashoka Johnstone. It promises such dishes as potato and cottage cheese kebab served on a bed of salad and tangy chickpeas, salmon tikka marinated in yoghurt and spices and served with masala mint chutney and tandoori chicken drumsticks with a sweet and sour sauce.

Choice of sundries completes the savoury picture.

REVIEWS OF Ashoka - Johnstone

Lynsey (25 October 2011)

I have been going to Ashoka Johnstone for years. Myself and my partner have been together for 15 years, and we have come to think of it as 'our' restaurant, as we prefer not to go anywhere else. The food is beautiful (this comes from a very fussy eater!)The staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable too. It's also child friendly, as I've brought my sons here for a meal now and again. The kids menu is good, nicely varied. Oh, and I love that they now open at lunchtimes!

Malcolm Steele (3 January 2011)

A special place to experience Asia cuisine at its finest! A relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff and well worthy of the award they have recently been awarded. Pay it a visit!
