I have been there many times and I adore the family atmosphere. The food is excellent, although some dishes are kind of a mash of stew. Coffee is a treat worth the visit.

I was very looking forward to eating at the Asmara as it had been recommended by a number of friends. Unfortunately, I found the service to be utterly appalling the food almost inedible.

The young waiter was exceptionally curt and unpleasant in his attitude towards us. We felt like a distraction from his comfortable seating position behind the bar. The food was placed and plates removed from our tables with the maximum amount of noise and disruption. The bill was finally slammed down on our table with contempt.

I had decided to pick a hot chicken dish which composed of a large amount of bones and chicken skin. I left most of my food uneaten.
