Assaha Village

29-31 Craven Road, Paddington, London, W2 3BX

Straight from the Lebanese alleys, Assaha Village is a unique and rustic restaurant that could also be doubled as a cultural centre or a small museum. Its arched passages, coarse stone walls hung with artwork and traditional weaponry, sunken lights and bucolic woodwork together make it a thoroughly out of the ordinary place to dine at. Freshly prepared food is the rule in the kitchen and they serve a fine variety of hot and cold appetizers, or 'mezze,' as the Levantines call them, including the likes of fattoush, a salad made from toasted or fried pieces of pita bread combined with mixed greens and other vegetables, and of course hummus. Amongst hot mezzes meat pies and spiced chicken wings are extremely popular.

If you are in the mood for a smoke, then a hubble-bubble experience with some traditional tobacco could make your day.
