Chef Brogi aspires to make simple and creative food with quality ingredients and attention to detail doing the work. While some produce is sourced locally, others are imported from Italy. The pasta is freshly homemade. Sample ravioli with buffalo ricotta and basil pesto, penne with lemon sole, garlic, chilli, white wine, capers and olives, oven baked potato gnocchi and tagliatelle with fresh tiger prawns, peas and mint. Chef's specialties include squid hamburger with stewed fresh tomato, basil, Ligurian extra virgin olive oil and fennel carpaccio, pan fried sea bream with mussels and oven roasted suckling pig. End with crispy meringues with wild berries and lemon sorbet or fresh peaches poached in syrup and served with vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce. Pairing the meal with a Chardonnay or Merlot would be to rise to the occasion.
