Ayza Wine and Chocolate Bar
11 West 31 Street , (between broadway and 5th Avenue), New York, 10001
The name Ayza Wine and Chocolate Bar may mislead some to believe that it's only a chic zone for cocktails and confectionaries near the bustling Times Square; it's that of course and much more. This sleek and stylish restaurant has a contemporary interior designed by renowned architect Richard Bloch who has numerous unique designs to his credit. A relaxed outdoor patio welcomes you into a tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable dining room highlighted by fixed ceiling and hanging lights. A well devised menu encompasses dishes from the Mediterranean with noticeable Asian influences. Angry chicken lollipops and wild mushroom pita tart are good ways to whet the appetite before going in for hearty mains such as pan roasted wild striped bass, medallions of filet mignon and stuffed chicken paillard. The name Ayza Wine and Chocolate Bar may mislead some to believe that it's only a chic zone for cocktails and confectionaries near the bustling Times Square; it's that of course and much more. The angry chicken lollipops were fantastic! I liked their deserts and wine list. I will be there again soon.
Rbtos (13 July 2010)
The location was a gem in a neighbourhood that had no similar businesses. The atmosphere, the decor, menu and pricing was ideal for the venue.
