Balans - Soho Description
Balans is a well-known group of restaurants that serves European cuisine and has branches in several parts of London open seven days of the week. It is the kind of place you could drop by at any time to enjoy a snack or a full meal and all outlets offer tasty food and warm, friendly service.
The popular breakfast and brunch menus offer a full English breakfast, eggs Benedict, blueberry pancakes and waffles. At lunchtime, the sandwiches and simple pastas are good choices. More elaborate meals could start with crispy calamari, duck spring rolls, seared tuna nicoise salad and seared scallops. The mains offer a wide variety to suit different tastes - from Thai chicken curry, crab linguine, rib eye steak, sesame tuna steak.
The house specialities of beer battered haddock and the famous Balans burger are always recommended and are meals in themselves. Balans has been serving customers for over ten years and the fact that they are still busy is ample proof of the quality of their meals and service.

Every time we go to London, we make it a point to eat here. It has a fantastic and friendly atmosphere, and the food is fabulous - well worth a visit.

Balans in Soho is terrible! I went there for lunch today and waited 45 minutes for my food. We then asked where our food was, and the waitress said 5 minutes. At this point the chef obviously panicked. Our food came out. My colleague and I bit into our pie, and found the meat around the outside to be cold. I tried to open the pie to find the whole thing frozen. The staff were useless and offered a salad as a substitute. Balans is a real disappointment.
