Balcony Bistro

Balcony Bistro is chic, relaxing and very contemporary and it's one of those restaurants you will want to visit again, not just for its pleasant ambience but also its range of delicious and tempting fare. Located on Level 1 of the Barbican, this is a perfect venue for a meal before or after the show, particularly if you're in the mood for some place informal and friendly. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are used imaginatively to conjure up a wide variety of European and Mediterranean dishes.

Tasty starters on the menu could include a crayfish and avocado pepper tian with marie rose sauce, followed by grilled rosemary and garlic marinated chicken breast with okra, chick peas and spicy vegetables. Finally, the iced chocolate mousse with salted caramel for dessert is superb and the drinks list demonstrates a partiality to European wines, with a few exceptions, and numerous cocktails add to the glamour quotient expertly.
