Highly-prized views onto the Moray Firth and onwards to the Black Isle and Ross-shire are guaranteed, but Bandstand also delivers a compelling package of a Scottish seaside atmosphere, hearty locally sourced dishes and an extensive wine list. Spend a breezy evening walking by the shores, culminating in a meal, following which a stay in one of Braeval's en suite bedrooms may be a wise idea.

There's a good selection of dishes vying for attention from the dinner menu; let's start with say, a trio of Scottish pudding with peppercorn sauce, ham hock and parsley terrine with homemade piccalilli, or homemade fishcakes. Next to arrive could be prime aged Aberdeen Angus steak, seared fillet of salmon and lamb casserole in a rich tomato sauce, and finally settle with a meringue nest filled with fruit and mascarpone for dessert.
