Bar Estrela Description
Bar Estrela is a great place to meet friends for a few drinks before venturing upstairs to the restaurant area. The menu is Portuguese based with both Spanish and Italian influence adding to the mix. The food is true to its Portuguese roots with plenty of rich flavours and well-seasoned sauces. For chooses that won't disappoint opt for the arroz de mariscos, a wonderfully tasty fish soup packed with fresh fish and seafood, or the equally delicious clams Estrela style. Excellent desserts and an interesting wine list make for an enjoyable evening.

The best thing about Estrela is sitting outside with a Beer Sagres and a custard tart and watching the world go by. I've never been "upstairs" to the restaurant, they happily serve your food outside which is what most people seem to do. The food is very Portuguese which can be a bit of a surprise at first. But persevere because it's very, very good indeed!
