Bar Trattoria Semplice is brought to us by the same team behind the Michelin-starred Ristorante Semplice, and this time they take the trattoria concept to a different level altogether. Located in the corner of Woodstock Street, Bar Trattoria Semplice is an elegant, upscale take on a traditional Italian tavern and brings authentic Mediterranean food to the heart of London's bustling West End.

The kitchen's expertise shines through dishes such as crispy deep fried fresh squid and prawns, homemade porchetta with cos salad and pecorino shavings, and baked aubergine tomato and buffalo mozzarella. Deft spicing and deep flavours are evident in a braised beef in ?Barolo' sauce served with mashed potatoes, pan-fried lemon sole with caponata of vegetables, and fusilli pasta with Italian sausage, chilli and broccoli. Desserts include classics such as tiramisu, pannacotta with strawberry coulis and a tempting strawberry bavarois.

A small but expertly chosen wine list includes familiar names such as pinot grigio, gavi and sangiovese as well as Torcolato dessert wine and sparkling prosecco.
