Serving traditional Spanish tapas all day, Barioja Tapas Bar in Jeffrey Street, adjacent to its sister establishment Iggs Restaurant, is located in Edinburgh's historic old town. With its smart casual appearance it can be your venue for a business lunch, a romantic meal or a dinner with family and friends. Diners can chill in a chic multi-level upstairs area to the tunes of Latino jazz music. The cellar is available for a party of up to 40 guests.

All of the dishes are made to order using the finest local produce and speciality ingredients which are imported directly from Spain. Barioja offers traditional classics as well as a selection of gourmet tapas. These include free range scrambled eggs and carpaccio of smoked cod, pork with roasted peppers, cod fritters with saffron aioli, king prawns with sherry and paprika, steamed mussels in white wine, warm goat's cheese with walnuts, lamb kidneys and black pudding with red onion marmalade.

The paellas on offer include chicken, seafood and vegetables; fish, shellfish and vegetables; and vegetarian. The regular menu is supplemented by a specials board that offers more Spanish delights. Daily lunch specials and shared platters are also available. To finish consider almond cake, chocolate mousse or a cheese board. Enjoy a glass of Rioja, a chilled Albariño or share a pitcher of sangria with your tapas selection.

Barioja's party menu, ideal for groups of six and more, consists of a chef's selection of eight tapas for sharing followed by an individual tapa dessert.
