A stylish contemporary day and night venue, BarMC and Grill at the Abode Glasgow in Bath Street combines a late-night lounge bar with a modern grill restaurant. The emphasis is on the preparation of simple foods with well-sourced local ingredients wherever possible. All beef and lamb served here comes from the Castle of May estate on the west coast of Caithness. This is a Michael Caines restaurant.
Whether at lunchtime or at dinner, guests at BarMC and Grill can look forward to a range of à la carte dishes and daily specials. These include chilli and ginger crab cake with lemon butter sauce, fresh local mussels with pak choi, lamb cutlets, grilled sirloin steak topped with king prawns and Béarnaise sauce and char grilled Cajun chicken burger with cucumber relish. For the seafood lover there's organic salmon with olive crushed potatoes, fish pie with mature Cheddar cheese topping and grilled whole plaice with minted peas. Sharing platters include Spanish, Greek and Italian. A children's menu is also available. At the adjoining bar, enjoy a range of cocktails, champagnes, beers and wines.

I booked a pre-theatre meal for my daughter and boyfriend, who were absolutely delighted with the food and the service and they could not say enough about the place. It’s great value for money and they will definitely be going back, and I will be going too.
