Barn, The

Laidback, yet stylish, The Barn is a 400 year old converted dairy farm in the beautiful Cheshire countryside which brims over with character and atmosphere. Renovations have brought about remarkable changes while still keeping the old charm intact as you will observe with the chandeliers hanging from the original beams or the exposed brick walls that add an element of rustic appeal to the chic factor of this place. The open plan restaurant is inviting and the striking bar area is splendid for a drink or two with friends.

The menu features modern and classic British cuisine and could begin with starters of duck liver and orange terrine accompanied by warm toast and an Oxford jelly. Amongst the main courses, tenderloin of beef medallions laid on a duo of Dijon mustard and cognac with peppercorn sauces is enticing while lighter bites could include a Mediterranean or Oriental platter. The Barn is a wonderful choice for parties, private hire and even weddings.
