Six of us had dinner at Barnards last night. What a delightful experience! From the moment we walked in through the door the service was supreme, from helping us choose the wine, understanding their menu, they were happy to make little alterations to some of the dishes. Nothing was too much trouble. Our complements also to the chef, every thing was served together and cooked and presented to perfection. Well done everyone. If you are looking for somewhere that makes you feel special then head for Barnards at Denmead.

I've eaten here several times over the years and usually been very pleased. It's smart but not fussy and the food is interesting and well-presented. Set lunches are excellent value. Portions are sensible sizes so you'll still be able to enjoy three courses and the wines are reasonably priced. Parking can be difficult in the summer.
