Basketmakers Arms
39 Cheltenham Place, Brighton, BN1 4AD
Those who appreciate decent food do not always greet the expression pubgrub with rapturous applause. Well, no such problem at The Basketmaker's Arms. Good and handy for the railway station, whichever way you happen to be going, the food is not only good but also in abundance. Anyone who can produce burgers that don't spark off instant revulsion deserves praise and it's certainly true here. You may well have to be nippy on your feet to acquire somewhere to sit but when you do capture a berth be prepared to spend some time there. Not only is the food in a class of its own, it is joined by the well kept and challenging range of real beers, not to mention some decent wine.Traditional

REVIEWS OF Basketmakers Arms
Karim (10 July 2008)
I had a delicious lunch of fried red snapper, rice and peas. It came with an interesting, crisp and well dressed lettuce and tomato salad and quarters of fresh lime to squeeze. It was not only a lovely meal but an equally lovely price at £6.70. I will be returning soon.
