Bavarian Beerhouse

Everyone likes an unpretentious place where good food, plenty of drink and unlimited fun is the norm. The Bavarian Beerhouse that claims to hold the distinction of being the only authentic German/Bavarian beerhouse in the UK is all this and more. Smiling waitresses in traditional dirndl dresses are eye catching as they serve foaming beer in huge stein glasses.

While beer is a necessary part of the scene here, don't lose the chance of ordering something from their simple menu, starters such as the weisswurst, two Bavarian white sausages served with a pretzel and sweet mustard. For a more filling meal, try the münchner schweinshaxen, roasted pork shank served with sauerkraut and potato dumplings. The portions are large so do leave some room for apfelstrudel, a classic Bavarian-style apple strudel served with cream.
