I have enjoyed a lunch and evening meal in The Bay Horse and on both occasions, the food has been beautiful. The food has a modern twist with some traditional flavours. The quality of the food is excellent value. It truly is the sort of food you would expect to find in an expensive restaurant. If I lived locally, I would pop at least once a week. We experienced the food whilst on holiday in the area. York is only twenty minutes away, Knaresborough ten minutes and Harrogate fifteen minutes.

The Bay Horse at Kirk Deighton has just been taken over by a great new chef called Anthony Fenwick-Scott. The food is fantastic and very reasonably priced; they have a two for one lunch deal for only £8.99, that’s two courses, great value. My wife had to have a fillet steak with a brandy sauce which she said just melted in her mouth. I will definitely be returning to this pub on my next visit.
