Bay Horse

I recently went to the Bay Horse, and must admit I was very surprised, the prices I felt were conservative for the food which was presented in front of us, and service also as I would expect. It’s a very quaint restaurant, in a lovely village, with very pleasant food.

I had the ‘early-bird’ two course dinner there last night and really enjoyed it. The cauliflower soup, with bacon pieces etc, was pleasant as was my well done sirloin steak. I had a good appetite, but still couldn't finish off all the potatoes and vegetables, which I shared with the ‘good lady’. Getting the hot tomato bread free at the start was a nice touch and the service was just right. I was comfortably seated on a cushioned bench, which could have done with sewing up a bit though. It was not too dark, I hate it if I can't see what I am eating, and there was a nice atmosphere although thought it might have been a bit fuller for a Saturday night. I would certainly go again.
