Baywatch on the Beach Restaurant is situated right at the water's edge with a wonderful sandy beach and absolutely stunning views of the Solent and English Channel from both the sun terrace and restaurant. Baywatch was featured in The Observer newspaper as one of the UK's top forty al fresco tables, it has also been recommended by Condé Nast Traveller magazine and featured in the London Evening Standard and Daily Telegraph as one of their top ten beach restaurants. As you might expect from their name and position, they specialise in fresh seafood - local crab, lobster, plaice, sea bass and their famous signature dish of moules marinières. A party of seventeen from our extended family had dinner at the Baywatch. The food was simply fabulous, so good in fact that we returned for breakfast on Sunday morning, then stayed on and ate lunch the same day (Oh what fabulous seafood and wine. We had enjoyed). The restaurant had a fantastic setting and it is located right on the beach. We had our dinner inside which overlooks the sea, we then enjoyed post dinner drinks on the terrace, next to the beach, as our children played in the sea. We had to drag the children away at the end of the day with a solemn promise that we would return soon. It was a real treat to enjoy such good food and service in such a stunning location. Do visit, but don't tell everyone. Make sure that you reserve a table to avoid disappointment. The coffee was simply great.
