A favourite haunt for Chelsea's well-heeled crowd, The Beaufort House Brasserie located on King's Road, is housed in one of the city's oldest buildings and after numerous renovations, is now a chic and trendy restaurant that serves English and French cuisine in a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. The ambience is typically old world with sleek cream walls, light polished floorboards, large windows that open out on sunny days, comfy window-side couches in muted greys, neatly arranged tables and a circular bar to one side. The place is open at all times, offering guests a relaxed and formal dining experience.

The food served, matches the elegant surroundings and is fresh and perfectly cooked with dishes of pork and leek sausage, buttered mash with caramelised onion gravy; and corn-fed chicken with minted lentils. There are plenty of salad and fish options such as chilli crab linguine and sea bass niçoise and meatier options like grilled rib-eye steak with chips and béarnaise sauce.

Priding itself on its champagnes and cocktails, there are a number of options to choose from, which although pricey are also well worth it.
