Bel Canto

The concept of opera dinners, already made famous by Bel Canto in Paris, has taken root at London and has already created a flutter by attracting regular clientele as well as drawing those looking for a unique experience. The waiting staff at the restaurant are talented young opera performers who spontaneously break into arias from Verdi, Puccini, Mozart and many more to offer fine dining with a twist.

Start with dry cured duck magret with chicory salad, garlic croutons, orange and xeres dressing and warm crab gateau with baby leeks and balsamic glaze. For main course consider rabbit and black olive casserole with baby vegetables, white wine and thyme and pan-seared pheasant breast cabbage potèe and red wine sauce. Top the meal with dark chocolate layers, saffron cream and passion fruit sorbet and apple tarte tatin, fleur de sel toffee ice cream and red wine apple.
