There are few restaurants in London that are situated in really spectacular locations, and even fewer that combine that with an unrivalled view - one exception though is The Belvedere, on the edge of Holland Park in Kensington - with its own off-street car park, a rare find in London also, though you do have to pay.

It has passed through the ownership of various parties in recent years, without any of them creating the success that the location deserves, however, most recently it has been taken over by that extremely successful partnership, of Jimmy Lahoud and Marco Pierre White, and apparently it is thriving, though diners are not unanimous about the food at present, though much of it will be familiar to those that have been to other Marco Pierre White restaurants.

If you are looking for value, then their three course lunch at £25 (£20 for two) is worth noting, however, beware, on Sunday it is slightly more expensive.
