Birdcage Walk is a beautiful, independently owned restaurant situated in the heart of Fiveways in Brighton. Stylishly set out over two floors with a function room available for private hire and an intimate outside terrace for al fresco dining, customers enjoy a relaxed and informal atmosphere anytime from breakfast through to dinner.

Inspired by a love for modern European food, the kitchen team has designed a menu that relies heavily on locally sourced ingredients, and the repertoire includes soup of the day with homemade bread, club sandwiches with hand cut chips, slow cooked shoulder of lamb with curly kale and creamed mash, and open lasagne with beef ragù, spinach, béchamel and parmesan. Vegetarians might be keen on trying a butternut squash risotto with chilli oil and salad, or a seasonal vegetable bake.

They also do a refreshing breakfast of hot croissant with butter and preserve, or the full Birdcage that includes orange juice and coffee.
