The first restaurant to be opened by celebrated chef Gavin Young, Bistro 27 is an authentic French dining space housed on the ground floor of the The Bishop's Table Hotel on West Street in Farnham. Located a short distance from St. Andrew's Church, the bistro has an authentically rustic French ambience, with subdued lighting and a cosy and intimate feel. The restaurant serves a variety of French and modern European cuisines prepared from seasonally changing fresh and local produce. Mains consist of roasted monkfish with pak choi, squid and lemon puree, and ravioli of field mushroom and sage with poached duck egg.
Desserts of Bakewell tart with crème anglaise and vanilla crème brûlée with fruit coulis complete the delectable meal.

We went to Bistro 27 last night and it was great. As a student I worked there when it was part of the Bishops Table and all I can say is the improvement is amazing.
The staff were VERY friendly and helpful and the food was cooked beautifully. I'm allergic to leeks and the amuse bouche they gave out was a leek and mushroom risotto - my partner tells me it was delicious - on seeing that I hadn't eaten mine, I explained why and they went and got me something completely different which was great.
I will definitely visit there again - fantastic food at a very reasonable price for the standard.

I don't normally write reviews as I tend to think they are for people that have nothing better to do. But after visiting Bistro 27 today I was blown away. Top class food amazingly cooked and what a great menu, if you are looking to have fun with your taste buds, you can not go wrong here. We tried six dishes between the two of us and each one was fantastic. The sort of thing you might see on master chef - I'm not joking! The best bit was - two people, three courses each and we spent £45. Just go there.
