Bistro 51 is an elegant and classy restaurant located within the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Buckingham Gate, a short walk from Buckingham Palace. Catering to a diverse clientele of hotel guests, tourists as well as the occasional local, the restaurant serves a varied menu of pan-Asian and modern British delicacies made with locally sourced ingredients and served in a cosy and intimate space. The air of luxury is enhanced by the plush furnishings and soft, warm colours.

Head Chef Brian Henry serves an a la carte menu with starters of fresh steamed mussels cooked in white wine, cream and garlic, and smoked ham and rabbit terrine. Main courses include dishes of confit of duck with figs and curried leeks accompanied by dauphinoise potatoes, and vegetarian options of pan fried gnocchi with Savoy cabbage, red onions and black olives in chilli oil topped with smoked mozzarella. There is also a separate grill section offering choices such as rib eye beef steak and rump of Welsh lamb with different choices of sauce.

Diners with a sweet tooth can try out the coconut bread and butter pudding, and vanilla panna cotta with winter berry compote.
