Bistro at Hotel du Vin - Brighton Description
From early days in Winchester this modest and attractive group has grown to five locations, including Brighton, where the approach is much the same with local tweakings. So expect to find bistro food from a daily changing menu that is of a consistently good standard, drawn from the usual lexicon, that has not ignored the freedom of the chef to express his own particular skills.
As ever the wine list is impressive, and the ability to create panache with more than a touch of tradition and antiquity as far as the décor is concerned has not been neglected.

This place is fabulous for food, lunch or dinner; 5 star food without the 5 star pretentious service. Laid back atmosphere without a dress code with impeccable waiting staff who know how to adapt to each customers requirements.
Our food each time we have visited for various reasons, usually special events, has always been amazing. Each member of the party has left completely satisfied with every facet of the experience. I have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone as I defy anyone NOT to enjoy it.
The ambience allows one to hear conversation without hearing anyone else’s yet the bubbling atmosphere allows one to be oneself during the evening. As you can tell the place has an array of wines and the staff are up on their knowledge as they have training sessions each week so that they can cascade their knowledge on to the punters.
